iDOD - Emerging Professionals and Mentorship
What is iDOD?
iDOD was developed to address a growing need for community, connection, and knowledge as it relates to interior design.
The goal is to help individuals grow as design professionals by the sharing of ideas, knowledge and experience through meetings, and the Mentorship/Protégé program.
iDOD is open to all ASID OC students, design professionals, and industry partners.
Why should I join?
- One of the ASID member benefits
- To gain personal and professional growth and new friendships
- Learn new skills in a smaller group or one-on-one
How is iDOD different from ASID OCC monthly meetings?
iDOD’s vision is to create a place where every ASID OC student, designer and industry partner can examine and explore solutions and answers to any idea or question imaginable in a smaller setting for dialogue.
How long does the partnership/mentorship last?
Minimum of one month not to exceed three months. At the end of that period you’ll be matched with a new partnership/mentorship to have another learning/sharing experience.
What is the required commitment?
Meet in person at least once per month outside program meetings; communicate together once a week. In addition, reporting on the partnership/mentorship is to be done at the end of each commitment regarding feedback on what was learned and the overall experience.
